(Due to inclement weather and some last-minute surprises there was no Early Practice tonight.)
Five ringers: Jody, Judy, Ken, Marguerite, Thomas. Ken brought up the topic of even striking, and spoke of how recordings of ringing often display remarkably even striking. This caught the interest of the band and we worked on even striking for the entire hour.
- Rounds, standing and rotating everyone one bell to the right from time to time, so that everyone rang on every bell and everyone got practice trebling and leaving the handstroke pause (and no backstroke pause). After some work our striking improved considerably.
- Long Places on every pair of adjacent bells, in succession.
- Long Places Wrong on every pair of adjacent bells, in succession.
- Rang down in grand cacophony.
