Early Practice. Two ringers (Nancy, Thomas), with more arriving starting about 6:20. We raised all eight. Nancy worked on raising and lowering.
Practice. Five ringers: Anne, Jody, Judy, Marguerite, Nancy, Thomas. We made it a “heavy bell” practice. All the usual ringing challenges arise, but the heavy bells force one to ring with good form, think ahead and pull this stroke to place the next stroke properly, and move up and down the tail and sally to hunt out or in.
- Rounds on the heavy five (45678).
- Places on 4-5, 5-6, and 6-7. Nancy (on the 7) developed blisters and sat out after this.
- Plain Hunt on Three with tenor behind, on the middle four (3456).
- Rang down 5678 in grand cacophony, each moving to ring down a light bell as soon as his/her bell was down.
