Emailing to the group
An email addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org from a group member’s email account will be sent on to everyone on the list.
Troubleshooting: You have to send it from the address you joined under, else the email will be rejected. For example, if you use a “reply-to” header as I do (email@example.com) that forwards to your actual email address (firstname.lastname@example.org), you have to join under your actual email to send messages to the group; I joined twice, once under each email, and set one of them to receive no emails so I wouldn’t get double copies. We can do the same for you if you like.
Replies to group emails
When the group was first set up, each reply to a group email went by default to the entire group.
But now the reply goes by default to the author of the message only.
You can override this for any particular message by changing the “To:” field to say email@example.com.
Changing your email address in the group (the one group messages go to)
It looks like if you have a Google account (gmail, youtube, etc.) you can log in and change your email for the list yourself by:
- Log in to your Google account.
- Go to https://accounts.google.com/EditUserInfo?hl=en.
- Add the new email address in the box headed “Add an additional email address:”.
- Go to https://groups.google.com/groups/mysubs, select that email from the drop-down list, and click “Save group settings”.
If you don’t have a Google account, then send your new email address to a manager of the group, or to firstname.lastname@example.org, and a group manager will add your new address (you may have to bug him/her).

Go to https://groups.google.com/group/miamiringers/topics and log in to your Google account to see an archive of them.
